These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of mediation services by Root Mediation ("we", "us", "our") operated by Keecia Ellis. By engaging our services, you ("the client", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these terms.

We offer both online and in-person mediation sessions tailored to the specific needs of each dispute.
3.1 Mediation Fees: Mediation fees are based on the dispute value and complexity as outlined on our pricing page. All fees must be agreed in writing before mediation begins.
3.2 Payment Terms: Payment is due within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed. We accept payment via Stripe (card payments, bank transfers).
3.3 Cancellation: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled mediation session may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee.
4.1 All mediation proceedings are strictly confidential. Information disclosed during mediation cannot be used in subsequent legal proceedings without the express consent of all parties.
4.2 The mediator will not disclose any information shared by one party to another party without explicit permission, except where required by law.
4.3 Exceptions to confidentiality include disclosure of information relating to child protection, prevention of serious harm, or where required by law or court order.
5.1 The mediator acts as a neutral facilitator and does not provide legal advice, make decisions on behalf of parties, or impose solutions.
5.2 Parties are encouraged to seek independent legal advice before, during, and after mediation.
5.3 The mediator reserves the right to terminate mediation if it becomes apparent that mediation is not suitable or if parties are not engaging in good faith.

7.1 Root Mediation provides mediation services to facilitate dispute resolution but does not guarantee any particular outcome.
7.2 We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from the mediation process or any agreement reached, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
7.3 Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific mediation in question.
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
If you are dissatisfied with our services, please refer to our Complaints Procedure. We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and fairly.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
